Interviews

It was in early 2021 that I began a series of interviews with creative people living and working in Dumfries and Galloway. I have carried on ever since. The stories and experiences you’ll find here are testimony to the rich and varied cultural landscape of the region I am delighted to call home. It’s a steadily growing archive and I’m grateful to all of those who have taken part.

Clare Dawdry – the potter’s realm

David Borthwick – perception’s gaze

Paul O’Keefe and David Cripps – the unfolding story of Thomas Tosh

Lynne Murdoch – caring for children

Emma Dove – through the lens and beyond

Emily Taylor – science and sustainability

Trevor Leat – a weaver of dreams

Barry Graham – the spirit of Loch Arthur

Karen Campbell – a writer’s story

Hazel Campbell – at the stroke of a brush

Alan McClure – creator of songs and wielder of words

Tony Bonning – stories, music and journeys

Colin Mackenzie – what’s in a place-name?
